(一)通览全文,确定话题
首先通读对话,了解对话的基本内容和交际情景,确定此题目属于哪一类交流话题,如打电话、问路、购物、看病、邀请、约会、就餐、谈论喜好等,这些不同的场景有其特定的习惯表达方式和惯用句式。做题时应该运用相关的常用句式,这样才会得心应手。
(二)结合语境,逐句推敲
在弄清楚话题的基础上,要细读对话,充分利用已知的有效信息,摸清对话发生的地点、时间、人物的身份等。要注意对话中的标点符号(如问号、句号、省略号、感叹号等)暗示的意思,由易到难,逐层深入,先将有把握的答案确定下来,暂时放下不能确定下来的答案,然后回过头来再解决难题。如果是选择题,则在选择过程中注意把已选出的选项划去,避免重复选择带来的错误。
(三)瞻前顾后,通盘考虑
要从整体理解对话出发,依照上下文的关系来考虑补缺单词、短语或句子。因此一定要注意前后照应,密切关注上下文之间的关系。如在看病时,上句问“Whats the matter with you?”或“Whats wrong with you?”,下句就应该是“I have got a cough / headache / cold ...”等,这样前后对照,才能使上下文相呼应。
(四)复读对话,核对答案
做完之后,再将整段对话通读一遍,看看对话是否通顺、流畅、自然,单词的拼写是否有误,语法结构和习惯用语搭配是否正确,全篇对话是否连贯、流畅,内容是否清晰,前后意思是否矛盾,书写是否工整、规范。
三、备考建议
补全对话是近年来中考考查的热点,其考查的内容和形式越来越丰富,试题的综合性明显增强,涉及的知识面也越来越广,包括西方国家的风土人情、文化等。建议同学们在复习过程中做好以下几点:
(一)重温课本
牢固掌握初中英语教材中出现的30个交流项目以及它们各自特定的习惯表达方式和惯用句型。如对购物、打电话、问路、看病等有关话题要反复练习。
(二)掌握固定句式和用法

(一)坚持听说训练,加深巩固单词在大脑中的痕迹
每天都要坚持听英语磁带并跟着朗读。哪怕每天20分钟也行,关键是要养成每天坚持练习的习惯。这种习惯养成以后能使自己的英语学习终生受益。
每天坚持背诵单词。英语单词量的深度和广度是外语学习成绩好坏的一个标志,掌握大量的单词非常有助于外语的学习。有条件的学生可以试试像迈西背单词软件这样的工具,适合短时间内积累大量词汇,有图有真人发音,也不枯燥。

现在初中阶段总共学习八种时态、两种语态及动词在句子中的四种形式,高中还要复杂一些。同学们要做到正确判断和灵活应用时态、语态和动词的各种形式,任何英语考试中几乎每一道题都离不了动词的变化。
(三)重视看试卷。分析、熟记自己所犯的错误,并找出犯错误的原因加以纠正
这一点在高年级更重要。郑州大学有一位硕士多年考博都是被英语拖了后腿,曾经为此专门请教笔者。笔者通过了解发现,其主要问题就是出现在他经常犯同一类型的错误,即使别人给予纠正后还是重复犯,根源就是没有找到犯错误的原因。
(四)每天一篇短文阅读,每周一篇书面表达
可以阅读一些浅显的英文刊物,像英语杂志等。书面表达可以写自己身边发生的生活小事,单词不熟悉可以通过查字典来解决。
(五)用英语写日记
哪怕只写一两句心里想说的话或几个单词也可以。写日记就像走进大自然一样,也是开启心灵的灵丹妙药,它一旦被养成习惯,就会成为我们学习外语的好朋友。

句型转换主要有句式转换、同义句转换、合并句子或语态转换等形式。
(一)句式转换
1.肯定句和否定句的相互转换
陈述句用来陈述一件事或一种看法,包括肯定句和否定句。否定句一般由肯定句中的系动词(be)、助动词或情态动词后接not构成。注意事项:
(1)在“I think / believe / expect / suppose that +宾语从句”句式中,若宾语从句为否定句,习惯上将否定形式转移到主句上来。
(2)肯定句中的and在否定句中要改为or;too, also要改为either;some有时要改为any。
(3)用no, no one, nobody, nothing, neither, none, never等表示否定意义的词也可构成否定句。
(4) both ... and ... 的否定结构为neither ... nor ...。
【典例1】(2015年重庆B卷) There are many old people exercising in the park now. (改为否定句)
There ______ ______ many old people exercising in the park now.
【解题思路】句中有系动词be,改为否定句时,直接在be后面加not。

【解题思路】如果陈述句的主语是由连词both ... and ... 连接,这类句子变为否定句时,不能直接在be动词后加not,而是要把both ... and ... 变为neither ... nor ...。

2.陈述句改为一般疑问句
一般疑问句指能用yes或no来回答的疑问句。一般把陈述句中的be动词、助动词或情态动词调到句首,并在句尾加上问号。

【解题思路】该陈述句中含有系动词be的第三人称单数形式is,改为一般疑问句时,直接把is调到句首。

3.陈述句改为特殊疑问句
这类题型主要是就画线部分提问。其结构是:特殊疑问词+一般疑问句。特殊疑问词的使用要根据画线部分所指代的情况来确认。比如:对人提问用who / whom(宾格);对地点提问用where;对频率提问用how often;对距离提问用how far;对数量提问用how many / how much;对时间提问用when / what time;对价格提问用how much等。
【典例5】(2015年济南卷) The supermarket is two miles from the hotel. (就句子画线部分提问)

【解题思路】画线部分“two miles”意为“两英里”,在句中表示距离,因此用how far引导特殊疑问句。

【解题思路】画线部分“25 dollars”表示价格,因此对其提问用how much。

4.陈述句改为选择疑问句
首先注意的是:不能用yes或no来回答选择疑问句。回答选择疑问句时应根据事实选择一种情况作答。其结构为:一般疑问句+ or +一般疑问句的省略形式。
【典例7】(2015年绥化卷) My favourite color is green. (用yellow改为选择疑问句)
______ your favourite color green ______ yellow?
【解题思路】陈述句中含有系动词is,改为一般疑问句时,把is调到句首。选择疑问句的构成是由“一般疑问句+ or +一般疑问句的省略形式”。故第二个空填or。

5.陈述句改为反意疑问句
反意疑问句是由陈述句和附加问句两部分构成,表示说话者对自己的看法没有把握,需要对方证实。如果陈述句是肯定句,附加问句是由“be动词/助动词/情态动词+ not(缩写)+人称代词”构成;反之,如果陈述句是否定句,附加问句是由“be动词/助动词/情态动词+人称代词”构成。注意事项:
(1)陈述句是there be句型,附加问句要用there,不能用人称代词。
(2)陈述句中含有no, nothing, never, hardly, seldom等表示否定意义的词语时,附加问句用肯定形式。
(3)Lets引导的祈使句,附加问句用shall we。
(4)肯定祈使句的附加问句用will you / wont you;否定祈使句的附加问句只能用will you。

【解题思路】陈述句是肯定句,附加问句用否定形式。陈述句中含系动词is,其否定形式为isnt。人称代词用it。

【解题思路】陈述句部分含有seldom,表示否定意义,附加问句用肯定形式。主语是Mr. Smith and his wife,用人称代词they替代。

6.陈述句改为感叹句
感叹句由感叹词what或how引导,其具体结构如下:
(1)What + a / an + adj. +可数名词的单数形式(+主语+谓语)!

(3) How + adj. + a / an +可数名词的单数形 式(+主语+谓语)!

1.用同义词(短语)替代

【解题思路】原句句意为:这本《西游记》是我的。改写后的句子中空格后面是宾格代词,因此与原句相符的短语应该是belong to,且时态为一般现在时。

2.用反义词(短语)替代

如果原句中含有状语从句、宾语从句等,改写后的句子中可用介词短语或不定式短语等来替代。

1.用并列连词合并简单句
用并列连词将两个简单句合并为一个新的句子。常用的并列连词有both ... and ..., neither ... nor ..., not only ... but also ..., either ... or ... 等。

2.将从句合并为复合句
复合句既包括宾语从句、定语从句,也包括状语从句。复习时,要明确三种复合句的构成方式及句式特点。

Great changes haven taken place in our studies since our school began to carry on exploring learning strategies. In the past, teachers kept on explaining the language points in class. Last week our class had a discussion on whether it is OK to tell white lies. The students have different opinions.
ome think it is all right to tell white lies out of kindness. Besides, white lies can often help people get on well with each other. Sometimes, they may make one more confident.
However, some people take telling lies very seriously. They believe that white lies are lies after all. They do harm to friendship. What’s more, lies never go far.

First, learn to smile at yourself when something unpleasant happens in your life. It you fail an exam or you are misunderstood by your friends, don’t be sad. Just smile at yourself. So they don’t have enough time to prepare for the exams. Finally, students have to do so to make their teachers and parents happy.
In my opinion, cheating in exams does great harm to our study. We students should be honest and hard-working. Only in this way can we improve our study and make progress. Besides, our teachers should offer us fewer exams and more time to study for ourselves.
